When moving from south Florida to these Virginia mountains more than 30 years ago my family and I purchased land, built a log home and settled into raising cattle and sheep. I enjoy woodworking, fishing and cooking (still working on this one). I am also a Civil War history buff and a founding director of the Jeb Stuart Birthplace Preservation Trust, an organization created in 1991 to save General Jeb Stuart’s (Civil War) birthplace, Laurel Hill, from development.
When I retired, from forty years of owning and managing a painting company, I realized I could be an asset to my wife Karen in her real estate business. My knowledge of the construction industry is very useful to my clients whether they are considering building from scratch or purchasing a pre-existing home. I know farms, I know land. I love to walk large parcels whether it be farmland or mountain land.
